USTA Middle Illinois Merger

MIL-SIL-Merger
The USTA/Midwest Section approved a merger between the Southern Illinois Tennis Association and the Middle Illinois Tennis Association. The approval came at the 2011 USTA/Midwest Section Annual Meeting, and the merger will take place on January 1, 2013. The two districts will combine to become the Mid-South Illinois Tennis Association. Read More

Midwest Boys Capture USTA Winter National Championships

Jared Hiltzik, 17, of Wilmette, Ill., won the boys’ 18s title at the 2011 USTA Winter National Championships on Monday, and Paul Oosterbaan, a 16-year-old from Kalamazoo, Mich., captured the USTA Boys’ 16s title. Many of the nation’s top junior tennis players competed in eight USTA National Championships in five cities last week. Read More
